Hi, I’m MJ! A chemistry teacher in my prior life, now I am a full-time mother to four kids, University of Virginia fan (go Hoos), and Korean-beauty reviewer. When I’m not spending time with my family, I love sharing my skin care secrets, travel adventures, and tips to living a healthy and fun life! I love yoga, hiking, cooking spicy food, gardening, and everything nature. I am not the best at the things I do, but I know a thing or two about making mommy-hood and marriage a little more enjoyable.
I was born in Seoul, South Korea and came to the United States when I was 16 to attend an all girls boarding school, Garrison Forest. Now that I’m a mommy, I assume my parents wanted to have a kids-free life (or at least be free from my crazy teen years).
After graduating from the University of Virginia (the most bucolic and awesome college in the world), I was lucky to marry my best friend (sometimes frenemy), David. My husband is my polar opposite, and as the saying goes opposites attract. More importantly we complement each other.
I am not just another mom-blogger touting perfection. I don’t have six pack abs. I am not always stylish. I do not have perfect hair. As a mom, I know how busy life can be. I don’t want to be judged. I love motherhood, butI know motherhood is tough. I’m all about comfort, sustainability and finding joy in the small things. If you are looking for an ordinary mom-friend who can validate and comfort your struggles, you found the right gal!
I love connecting with other people. I’m so happy you came to my blog to learn about me and I would love to learn about you too. Let’s keep in touch!
